Well, there's nothing stopping people with the appropriate language skills from getting started on the translations/new articles while they wait. The sandbox will work fine for setting up articles, and once it's done you just copy/paste it into a text file and save it for later. That way the Polish wiki, when it is eventually ready, will also have some articles in it and be somewhat useful from the get go... which is a Good Thing^TM

Well, IIRC we were not to do that because of untidyness and problems it'd cause.

I am beginning to think this isn't such a good idea as we first thought.  HLP is an English-language site.  Everything about it is English.  Why should we have one section that's specifically Polish?

More to the point, there is already a Polish language FreeSpace site.  Polish players will go to that site first.  Why not set up a Polish FreeSpace wiki on www.freespace.pl?  That would allow the Polish community to manage it themselves, instead of waiting for HLP tech support.   And we would certainly be willing to allow them to copy our articles, translate them, and put them up on their own wiki.

For example -> someone hits "Random Page" and the Wiki shows him/her Polish article; besides, that wouldn't be too professional(sp?), I think... Well, I am not any specialist in terms of Wikipedias/IT, but I just don't think it would be proper.

Doable, and I agree they could be added.

Then press Random Page again.

I don't think it would be unprofessional. Unusual, perhaps, but not unprofessional in my view.
