that's true, but the station I was using at the time did not have a fighterbay and was in a location I wanted to use.  :yes:

Its pretty simple to add a fighter bay in PCS2 if it already looks like it has a place for one.

My new card has arrived. I shall mourn the GForce 8800 GTX, but a HD4870 with double fans is a worthy successor.

Its pretty simple to add a fighter bay in PCS2 if it already looks like it has a place for one.

Fighterbays will not work without paths, and adding them in a proper way isn't extremely easy.

Not really.  As long as you make the paths evenly spaced enough, with plenty of room between them, it should be fine.  I've created pretty crappy fighterbay paths and they've worked fine.

Yeah, but that somewhat limits the fighterbay's effectiveness. The issue is to find a good compromise between the number of paths and the distances between paths.

Paths that work superbly with Lokis may not be that good with Ursae, for example.

True, but it's not difficult to estimate based on the size of the fighterbay, and plenty of FS ships have that same problem.  Also, Ursa has no e :P

Bears would be ursae in Latin. I suppose that's why Mobius is using this pluralization method. Since refering to a bomber class requires shifting to a proper name, it should be Ursas anyway. Same principle as with tornadoes and Tornados.

You can restrict departure and arrival paths in FRED_Open.
Meaning, it'll only fly out along those paths, rather that picking one randomly. Useful for making sure that fighters don't launch from the wrong side of the Typhon/Hatshepsut, and that stuff flying into the hangar bay don't try to crash into the ship.

You could use that for specific wing launches, given that the wings can't be loadout customized.

Just to confirm it's not dead.

Played DOW2 so its on hold. I'm bakc working on it since yesterday, but it's going a bit slower than expected since I'm also cleaning up the Archangel too.

Still don't know exactly what to do with the Collies head, I'm experimenting. Expect new pics soon.
