Did he delete all his posts or did an admin?

Wouldn't be the first time that HM decided to deprive us of his wisdom.

I'm not being insulting or anything. I think you're completely misunderstanding things.

I simply said that we only point it out because periodically purging their posts on a forum isn't something people usually do, not because we are obsessed about it or anything of the sort.

In fact, especially on other forums, people try spam to get their post count as high as they can.

Re: Slow and steady wins the race ! :D
Yeah, spamming to increase post count doesn't make sense.

However, if you just purge your posts, it makes people reading the thread later miss possibly important information, not to mention breaking the flow of the thread so that it may no longer make sense (especially if someone was replying to a statement without quoting). That's why I find post-purging strange (in a neutral way).

Urgh, this is massively off topic now.

Which doesn't make sense. I don't care about the post count. Sorry but I think to worry about post count is childish. I don't mean you guys, just people in general who care too much about it in any forum on the net. Why is it important to worry about post count like so many people do? It is strange to worry about post count so much and spam too much to increase post count. Do you guys think so?

I totally agree with you: post count doesn't affect the quality of the posts themselves.
However, I was just contrasting the different ideas behind posts based on spammers and Droid's explanation.  :)

I saw the title of the thread below this one (This mod will never be released!), and the following was my first reaction:

* Androgeos Exeunt would like to tell trolls to suck a hole until their face implodes.

Keep in mind that all I did was read the title, not the content. :nervous:

But Snail and Mobius do, or did in the past.
People do not spam for a reason. They spam for the sake of spamming - One does not spam in order to accomplish a certain amount of posts, only to stop later. The purpose of posting is posting. The purpose of spam is spam.

Oi. He was always a good man. Just that people at the time thought it was "fashionable" to flame him.
