Hi, You will have to excuse the initial blurb but I though it would be better to explain my situation fully first.

I recently purchased FS1 & FS2 from GOG.COM as I missed them when they first came out (Top DRM free site ). Completed FS1 and then found out about the SCP. Installed the SCP and completed FS2. Now I'm looking at all the mods available to FS and came across the 'FREESPACE OPEN SCP 3.6.10 OFF-LINE INSTALLER, FS CAMPAIGN PACK v2.0 & FS DVD KIT' @ http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=64634.0

This I thought was a great idea for those of us with out an internet connection on their gaming PC's or limited connections/bandwidth. I downloaded (Using my works super fast connection during dinner (which we are allowed to do)) and installed the SCP 3.6.10 OFF-LINE INSTALLER and FS CAMPAIGN PACK v2.0 straight away and started to have a blast with the Blue Planet mod. I was loving this mod until I hit a crash to desktop in the 'Great Protectors' mission. I found out to fix the problem I needed to download an updated copy of the mod. I did this and all was great again.

Now to the main crux of the problem. On a recent visit to these forums I noticed 'Freespace 2 SCP 2.2 Update Pack -ReReleased-' @ http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=65746.msg1296427#msg1296427 Will this update my copy of FS CAMPAIGN PACK v2.0 to have the latest copies of all the mods or is this somthing else entirly?

Are their any better options for us off-line people as downloading over 100 mods individually to get the latest version is a bit of a pain to say the least?

I've not tried it but judging from the description it doesn't update the 2.0 version. It's meant to be installed on top of a clean FS2 install.

That said, getting to a clean FS2_Open install isn't hard. Simply move anything you don't see in this picture (don't worry if you don't have all the files or folders) out of your FS2 folder.



Then install the 2.2 pack.

Thanks, I'll give that a go once I've done all the mods in my current installation before I give the other package a go.

I guess this is one of the limitations of being offline most of the time and having to use the big update packs.
