Okay, seriously now. It's a trailer. It's not the entire movie. It's not the holocaust presented as this summer's new action-comedy starring Udo Kier. It's a solemn, straight-forward trailer that doesn't bull**** about what happened. Hell, if the movie is anything like the trailer, it'll be god-awful to watch, but at least it would be respectful.
Let's divorce ourselves from the fact that Uwe Boll is directing, and just view the trailer in a neutral light. Upon doing so, would I be wrong in saying that the tone presented bears similarity to the movie Downfall? And would I be wrong to say that Downfall was actually a damn good - if confronting - film?
Yes, it's Uwe Boll. Yes, it's the Holocaust. Those are two things that should never be together. But let's not go completely ape-**** before we see what kind of travesty this could turn in to. Let's operate under the notion that this will likely be an abuse of our senses far greater than any other Uwe Boll film to date. But let's let the lynch-mob wait until the movie is released.
