Hmm, interesting. It would be nice to have more details about 'cloaking that hides events' though.

For the record, I wouldn't mind either cloaking or teleporting.

This is pretty cool beans.  So essentially, by using a material to slow down the speed of light, you're altering an outside observer's perception of the passage of time.  Sort of like gravitational time dilation I suppose.

ok, so much like the "magic cloak" from a few years ago that only worked for a very narrow range of microwaves and it is a large chunk of some sort of solid thing
