After some discussion with VA, I've decided to model the interior of both variants. The Pimpermes (working name, problem? :P) will feature a hot-tub and will have bling countermeasures.

It would actually be nice to add a "sonic weapon" on it and allow us to drive it.
 And yes, I know sound does not propagate in space.

I was actually thinking of making some of the speakers turrets and having them shoot sonic missiles (would be regular sonic waves, but visible and homing)

And yeah, it'd be flyable

I was thinking how the first version looks like a 2011 refresh ;7 Like, for all those 30-years-later mods? Realistically, there'd be some differences in the pod's 30+ year run and between goodness knows how many shipyards produce them ;)
