As far as I can tell, you take a quote, maybe mangle it a bit, and associate it with someone who didn't say the quote. The trolling can be subtle or obvious. A subtle example:

Depends on how many layers there are in the thing. As an example, breaking mine into pieces:

-A quote from Siddhartha Gautama Buddha, one of the most prolific pacifist philosophers in the known history of ever;
-misattributed to Sun Tzu, a famous Chinese military general and author of the Art of War;
-shown with an image of Genghis Khan, a Mongolian invader and general who invaded and occupied the majority of China along with most of Central Asia.

All three are in a way direct antitheses from each other, but it might be a bit too subtle because people might think Sun Tzu actually said that (which would be plausible) or being unable to recognize the image (although it should be fairly recognizeable).
