Capital Ship Reverse Thrust

Just out of curiosity, what sort of support is there for this? Does the AI know how to handle this correctly? If I put a waypoint behind a ship will it flail around randomly or ignore the fact that it would have reverse thrust?

There is no support for this. A capship that is ordered to fly to a waypoint behind it will turn around, then fly to that waypoint.
