He told me he'd be getting back to me this upcoming week as he was spinning a lot of plates at once.

Spinning plates could be a very dangerous act. Hopefully they are metallic or plastic plates, as to avoid cuts that would surely result from the accidental fumbling of ceramic dishware of any kind.
