Is this real? There's no mention about this on the first Google results, so I suppose that the voting isn't yet done.

Yes, I've heard this too elsewhere. About time. The IPCC has done what it was meant to do. Time to kill it off before it turns itself into a bureucratic monster that is more concerned with politics than with science. Perhaps it's already late for that, but not to kill it.
