Master of Orion 1 - To this day my favorite of the series.
Starflight - The predecessor to Star Control 2.
Halo 1 - PC version

Others have already been mentioned.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

I didn't think I had any titles to add to the substantial lists already posted in the thread, but then I spent the better part of an hour gushing about the original Black & White in my Facebook notes, so there's that.

Ever try Halo CE?  Not Combat Evolved; Custom Edition?  http://hce.halomaps.org/  It's a Bungie stand-alone mod they released (but you have to have the full version of Halo for the PC to play)

Every once in a while I'll fire up Buck Rogers:  Countdown to Doomsday.  Very reminiscent of the old D&D Gold Box games, except with sci-fi.  Way ahead of it's time though - you could get into random battles in space, blow all the weapons off a heavy cruiser, then take your little squad and board.  After that, all the payoff was creds only good for ship repairs and fuel, plus anything you could loot of the corpses.  Still haven't seen another game that lets you do that though.

Anyone here ever play Xenon 2: MegaBlast?  Not Xenon, I haven't played that yet.

Populous: The Beginning. I still play it from time to time.

The game itself is rather easy, but still fun; you get to build up your tribe, increasing your Shaman (main unit)'s mana, enabling her to cast deadlier, more complex spells, the most lethal being the Volcano (note: The pic below comes from the Internet):

Usually, I just wait 'till my Brave population goes to 199 (the max pop), so the Shaman gets uber-strong, with most spells recharging quickly, and then solo the enemy with JUST the Shaman, wreaking havoc by casting a plethora of destructive spells (oh and primitive as they are, Shaman on a Balloon is just badass ):

Oh, and just a sidenote, it's slightly surprising that VERY FEW here play the PC game called "Pirates of the Caribbean", since only one replied to its thread. That sure is an old, abandoned game :(.

But fortunately, there's a modding site dedicated to it.

With the rapid increase of FS fan-made campaigns, we're giving the GTVA a harder time with more violence and genocide.

...and I'm quite amused as to why no one has mentioned if they actually played the Classics. Load Runner and Prince of Persia were much fun.

Because it's sort of assumed that, if you own them, you played them?

No. They don't own them, either. So far as their comments.
