LA, much like EA, is notable for not letting old IPs go the way of abandonware... which is a shame. Absolutely NO ONE is getting any returns from zealously holding onto software rights for games from the early to mid 90's. Letting those programs go on as abandonware, or even better, letting the source code go as well wouldn't do any harm whatsoever. In fact, I think such actions would probably strike a very positive chord amongst a user base which might not think all that highly of either company, myself included.

Well, they did make those Monkey Island remakes (basically, the old games with new graphics and slightly more streamlined gameplay, but crucially with the option of being able to switch back to the old game on-the-fly), which were pretty damn good.
