Which is the best Metroid II color patch?

I know about two of them, but I don't know which I like better and I don't know which is more widely used/recommended.

One of the ones that I know about makes the ground (at the beginning anyway) blue, like in the original Metroid. But Metroid 1 takes place on Zebes and Metroid II takes place on SR388.

The other I saw makes the ground brown, like on the front of the game box.

I also read that the NGC's Game Boy Player (which I have) colorizes Metroid II and makes it look like it's supposed to. But I haven't been able to dig up any more info on that.

I own the Cartridge. Game Boy original, played the crap out of it on my trusty Game Boy Colour. Then again on my Game boy SP. Now............. I can not has on mah 3DS until i R4 card it.

Me not know. GBC just used to do it all for me. four colour palette.

VBA will also do 4 color palette. But IPS patches will do many many color palette. 

Damn you for having a 3DS. If you had gotten a Game Boy Micro, I would damn you all the way to the 9th Hell. 

You got SF64 3D or OoT 3D yet?

BTW, why can't DS1 do GBA emu via Acekard2?

PS: My GBA SP is starting to get old. It doesn't hold a charge for very long anymore.

Got OoT with my first 3ds. Got SF and Res evil, brainy trainy, and rabids for my 2nd.


But I hardly use it. I wants me some R4 snes emulating fun. I LOVE SNES!!

I got stuck in Super Metroid. I didn't feel like looking at a guide, so I quit playing it.
I got tired of Super Mario RPG when I got to Land's End, so I quit playing it.
I got frustrated with Star Fox 1 because Andross was proving impossible to beat, even on easy, so I quit playing it.
I beat Star Fox 2 like 8 times. It was fun.
I don't know why I quit playing ALttP.

Actually I'm in Norfair and I got to this giant skeleton thingy and then I couldn't go any further so I didn't know what to do.

What items you got? Have you checked as much map as possible?

I got missiles, super missiles, power bombs, grapple beam, high jump, speed boost, charge shot, ice beam, morph ball, regular bomb, varia suit.

There are a few gray areas on the map but iirc I didn't go there because I was unable to.

EDIT: I forgot this game's map doesn't show doors.

Power bomb every dead end. have you done the wrecked.ship yet and killed phantoon?

I've not played through the whole game since 1998. But I got it for xmas when it came out.

yeah that's pretty much how I plan on figuring out how to get out of the pirate mothership in zero mission. I'm trying to 100% the game, so I don't feel like fighting meta ridley yet.

I also just now found a missile expansion in super metroid via shinesparking.

Single wall walljumping is a lot easier in this game. Well, having a joystick makes it easier too.......... But the reversed ABXY buttons confuse me a lot. It's hard to remember when you're using a 360 pad.

EDIT: I gave up on playing super metroid on virtual console. The gamecube's button layout is HORRIBLE for super nintendo games. In all other cases I like the gamecube's button layout.

I found out what I was missing. The Wave Beam.
