Deathfun, I'm kinda jealous that you are using Maya!

To the note of visual effects, the higher the resolution and the quality the slower they will render. Yesterday, I tried to render a scene that invovled Volumetric clouds over a see at 256 rays per pixel and it would've taken me three hours to render it!

PS I'm using Bryce 7, a landscaping software.

You have a tool that allows you to create characters and various other things. I don't have that option, yet, but i will in the future.

Well, if you're a student you can obtain the student version (with all the shiny stuff to boot) from the Autodesk website for free. You just constantly get this "This was done on a student version of Maya blah blah blah" everytime you save

That and you could always use Blender

OH! I didn't think of Blender! Well, I'm thinking of going into college for an English degree: I'm itching to become an author. I wrote my own story that is eight-two pages long!
