Seether - Isolate and Medicate

arrived today.  first impression, not as jaw-dropping amazing as some previous seether albums, but some good sounding tracks.  it's a little disappointing when the best track is released as the lead single, because you don't get to "find" it in the album.

The new Rise Against album. I'd never really paid much attention to these guys before, but I caught one of their songs on triple J and now I'm youtubeing the **** out of them. Good stuff - turns out a lot of songs I'd sort of heard and vaguely liked were these guys.

i need to stop buying new albums while i still have several that haven't had full playthroughs yet.  my backlog is up to probably 15 now.  added 6 yesterday.

Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare
Van Halen - Women and Children First
The White Stripes - Elephant
Disturbed - The Sickness/Believe (not new, just replacing the edited versions that I didn't realize I was buying.  They should be forced to label that.)

sevendust has a new album out that i heard literally nothing about.  only knew this because i saw it on the shelf at best buy.  they kind of dropped off the radio after "decay" from the last album.  i don't know why, because that album was incredible.

edit:  derp.  it's a semi-acoustic re-recording of older songs.  I didn't recognize this because I only have their 2 newest albums that only supplied one of the songs on this one.
