The new European club football season has begun with action in the first qualifying round of the Europa League and Champions League yesterday.

Now you wouldn't think there'd be anyone in the quarter finals of a World Cup with their club involved in these matches would you?

But there is. Rosenborg take on Jelgava tomorrow in the first qualifying round of the Europa League and Cristian Gamboa of Costa Rica plays for them. :)

I dunno, Germany has to get past Brazil first, and even with Neymar being out, I can see that match easily going to Brazil. Germany just seems rather nervous this time around.

So I was just in a public space in budapest watching the semis on a 30 foot screen. I left after the fifth goal. Pretty depressing to see the Brazillian crowd go silent.
