it'll be alright Carl.  My dad had this thing done on his eye about a year ago.  He was wearing glasses, and they did this surgery, all by machines, it's like he put his head in this laser thing, and he had to look into the 'little red light' lol... anyway, half an hour and then 2 weeks later he had almost 20/20 vision.

The surgery nowadays is pretty good, there's not much chance of anything messing up.  Good luck with it though!
