Buntu scumbags, being decoded/decrypted should have some moderate garble filter to them?

Re: Voice Acting: The Battle of Neptune
Absolutely. I’ve added a much more noticeable static layer and a (few) layers of distortion for the intercepts.

Re: Voice Acting: The Battle of Neptune
Alright! I've finalised the first major allocation of lines - just wanted to say thanks to everybody who auditioned and helped publicise the thread across the interwebs (special mentions to Rhymes, Dekker, and RP). Most of the major roles have been cast and I've sent the latest batch of line breakdowns just now to our newest VAs.

There are still a tonne of minor roles open and I'd encourage anyone who's thinking about it to give auditioning a go! Battle chatter lines and death messages can be great fun when you get into it.  :D

Re: Voice Acting: The Battle of Neptune
If you're open to resubmissions / require any quick and nasty stopgap, I'm happy try and feign accents as needed, with potential to pitch shift in audacity?

Re: Voice Acting: The Battle of Neptune
Sorry I'm late to the party, but I just turned in a bunch of attempts for minor roles.  Hope it's helpful.

I grew up in Texas, so this is what people from Texas actually sound like.  But I had fun with the role of the Mustangs and did more of a caricature of a Texas twang just for the heck of it.  Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how this all turns out!  Hopefully it doesn't stop with just this one mission!  I'm dying to see more like this, VA or not!

Re: Voice Acting: The Battle of Neptune
Yo! So I just updated the OP - all of the major roles have been cast apart from Skull Kappa 1. I've got an existing VA in mind if no one wants to take it (I'll do another scrub at the end of May), but otherwise I'm keen for some additional takers.

In terms of minor characters, there are still plenty of death messages that need a voice! If it's something you're thinking about, you should absolutely throw your hat in the ring. And if you've got a non-British/American accent, I'd love to hear from you! I would take a wild stab at the 24th Century being a hell of a lot more diverse than 21st Century Netflix Originals and if we can capture that, that would be amazing as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks also to everyone who has already auditioned! You guys have done a tonne of work recording and re-recording lines and I really, really appreciate the time and effort you've given. Making it all worth it will be my #1 goal for the next few months.  :D

Re: Voice Acting: The Battle of Neptune
Yeah I'm deeply sorry I couldn't make any lines for Skull Kappa 1 after all. Between mic problems, a sudden illness wiping my voice out and a surprise mountain of busywork, I couldn't end up finding the time to make it work.
Again, I'm really sorry.
Makes missions sometimes.

Re: Voice Acting: The Battle of Neptune
That’s all good Strygon! RL always comes first, and the great thing about it not being a AAA release is that there’s no strict timeline for anything. Hope you’re feeling better now dude.

Re: Voice Acting: The Battle of Neptune
Real life takes priority.  These things happen.
I'm always happy to chip in where and when I can, sometimes I can't.

But the offer is always there.

Re: Voice Acting: The Battle of Neptune
You gotta feel for what you’re looking for Skull 1 to sound like?  I mean, aside from Ransom, because he’d be dead perfect for that role, right?
