Same ship from the "This time it's for real" thread... Decided not to revive it again, as most people who didn't see it yet wouldn't even look into a thread with that name. Anyways, here are some update pics on the ship. Didn't have much time to work on it, but the modeling is almost done.

a massive explosion is reported in south america, at first it is though to be a nukular bomb going off, but it is later determined to be a computer exploding after trying to render a 5,000,000,000,000 poly model in a five year old game engine.
but none the less hundreds of thousands are dead and millions seriusly ingured, this aparently all started when someone sudgested that this would be a good idea, however we beleve this person had no idea what the consequences of his actions would be

1. How long's that thing meant to be? In metres?
2. How long did it take to render that full-body isometric (the top image)?
3. How long have you spent making this thing?!

1. Around 500 meters, still gotta scale it properly from the windows;
2. Around 10 minutes, with 9 lights with raytraced shadows;
3. Well, around two months by now I think, but a lot less than that in straight work hours. Would come down to four days of dedicated work, five at most.

Since we're on topic... yesterday someone put a leaky packet of soy sauce on top of the monitor sitting on the desk next to mine. I only noticed it when there was a *CRACK!* *fizzle* and this horrible acrid odor filled the room...
