Either it means that they blinked because they were scared, or it means they don't have that second nuke ready to test.

It's largely down to the Chinese getting pissed off enough to cut oil aid to NK.

I was surprised to read SK have been providing aid to NK since NK's farm system collapsed circa '97......

NK might be a threat, but the last thing SK wants is for them to totally collapse and consequently send millions of food-seeking, poverty-striken and starving refugees into Seoul.

It makes a pretty bold conclusion, basically that because the NK government hates Japan more than anything, finally has a weapon and delivery mechanism to strike at them and knows it has no future as a viable government or nation, NK will nuke Japan then surrender to South Korea before anyone can strike back.

Pretty far out, I know, but admit it: it makes for a hell of a lot better reading than the usual news.

interesting but it would require something that isn't true.

the current regime is living better than the populace as is the military, they get everything the ppl get nothing why give that up.

it's also doubtful that they would evere surrender to South Korea..... hating Japan is a luxury they can afford nuking Japan is not.

that would actually be an interesting moral and political dilema. Can't really return the favour if NK surredners, but then how could they be allowed to get away with such a thing ?
