I vaguely knew what was about to happen from lurking about here, but Snipes screaming that line still got me to jump a good foot or two out of my chair. Realizing that I had no chance of getting out of the way by that point, I muttered "Screw it" and afterburned right into the Sathanas' windshield.

I have reflexes like a cat...well moreso when I first played the mission when it was...what....17? Anyways I got the heck out of the way but did that ever get my reflexes going.
I have reflexes like a cat too. Except the cat that my reflexes are like is kind of... dead. |

I was one of those who pulled up. It looked better to pull up than to dive and so I died. I am not sure if this is due to the fact that I was playing SCP that the warp effect obscured the Sathanas and gave the wrong impression. Once, when I switched off SCP, I could see the Sathanas clearly and the obvious path was to dive (as Snipes said).

I was absentmindedly sipping coffee when starting the mission.. as usually you have a second or to two take your bearings before action in the mission kicks in.. Well.. almost all the coffee fell to my lap... Go me....
And yeah.. i didnt make it.. got squeezed between sathanas and jump vortex... or something

it's been stated before... you don't need burners.  Hell, snipes and the rest of the wing don't even use burners, they just fly streight down, without being nicked by the sath. |
