From what i've heard all we know is that Setekh's mother got really sick and family matters come first, so of course we can understand his not being around HLP as much, but still... he's probably under a lot of stress, and i'm sure he misses interacting with the community he's created and established.
I propose that each of us (using whatever program we're used to, be it Photoshop, Ulead, Paint Shop, or even something simple, like Paint, if we're not good with graphics) make let's say a 600x400 pixels 'card' and put on that whatever the heck we want... we could put a picture of ourselves, and write a message to him saying we miss him and we hope his mom's getting better... or we could even tell him about some of the stuff we and the community as a whole has been involved in... perhaps post your latest render as a background and write a message on top
regardless, i think it would be a good idea, and if everyone on HLP forums or anyone that knows him could each send their own 600x400 file with their stuff on it we could zip all of them together and call it by their first name, or even have a 'slideshow' using javascript or flash or whatever, so he can read through them.
A pretty good quality 600x400 JPEG can be about 30 KB, so a ton of them doesn't have to be that big, especially when "winzipped"
we could perhaps do a slide show in Flash or Javascript or something, then upload it or even burn it on a CD for him so he can view them at his convenience with no loading times.
It's just an idea, but i'm sure he's missing his community, and it must be very stressful, and i'm sure this will cheer him up and makle him feel better.
