* jr2 wishes Snail was here to explain all of the obsure little nuances of INFR1, INFR1:SCP, INF:SCP, INF:A, etc, etc...
THE INFERNO SERIESInferno Release 1 (INFR1) a great campaign. With lots of new ships, and I think you would like it. Of course, it's completely non-canon and should not be regarded, under any circumstances, as canon. Get it here:
I mean here.INFR1 - Sol-Delta Serpentis Nodes reestablished. War breaks out between the Earth Alliance, the government of Sol, and the GTVA. Several years later, the Formalhaut-Ross 128 Node, re stabilizes. GTVA and EA team up to beat the Shivans and their big-ass fleet flagship, the SSJ Gigas.
INFR2 - Sequel to INFR1 which is now canceled. Something to do with the Shivans and a really big rebellion (featuring the GVSD Het-Ka).
INFR3 - Sequel to INFR2 which is also canceled. Something about the Ancients and some really big Shivan ship (the SH Gargant).
INFR1SCP - Same as INFR1 but with SCP compatibility.
INFSCP - A remake of INFR1 in a sort of parallel universe.
INFA - Inferno Alliance. Story of the events that happened in Sol following isolation. Get Inferno Alliance (which is kind of simplistic) here... No wait...
HereINFASA - Inferno Alliance Standalone. Special edition of Inferno Alliance with HTL ships and better missions. Coming soon to a download site near you.
INFA2 - Sequel to Inferno Alliance. In which is chronicled the formation of the Earth Alliance.
Other good campaigns to play:
Derelict - A really great campaign. Seriously, play it. Usually one of the first campaigns that people play.
The Procyon Insurgency - This is my personal favorite campaign. Contains extremely challenging missions and a gripping plot.
The FreeSpace Port - Not really a continuation of the story, but it puts all of the great experience of FS1 into the engine of FS2.
