This one was the worst so far for bad geometry. The cabin section was almost, but not quite, two pieces. That took some creativity to fix without having to build that part from scratch.

The wings... *shudder*. I managed to get one fixed, but in the end it would've been easier to rebuild from scratch. Getting it booleaned to remove the part poking through the big side beam required inverting its normals, which made subtract join it- and flipped its normals back to... normal. (trueSpace 6.6 does odd things when working with models not created by it that have "funky" geometry.) Then I carved big chunks off and cleaned up by deleting all the edges that weren't part of the wing.

As you can see from the images, my rebuild has had quite a bit of additional bits put on. It looks like a solid model but is actually in six (four for the wingless) interlocking parts. (Well, they'd be interlocking if they were real rather than just computer data.) The winged version has an air breathing engine while the wingless has a space-type engine. It's not easy to see in these low-res shots, there's a door on either side of the cabin and raised frame around the windows.

I'm just rebuilding models. If anyone wants to use them, have fun with them. If someone wants to do a Terminal Velocity mod, you'll have to find someone to texture, POF and Fred. I'll stick with fixing up the models.

I've managed to create full textures for two models that I made 100% from scratch (one was modeled on a real model I drew years ago on paper then built a real model from cardboard) and after spending several hours on them I decided texturing is more work than fun.

It's gonna be hard to do a MOD though: have you thought of the tunnels?

Also, I don't think it needs a MOD as the story ends quite well (remember you also have a bonus planet: the unknown body: it has a role, storywise).

For those who want more: I recommend fury3, it's add-on, f-zone (very hard to come by, but it sports 3 more planets, vid sequences for those and a level editor (WOW), and the true sequel to fury3, hellbender (you'll enjoy to fight against NYX).

Actially, it reminds me of the falcon from frontier, first encounters! No doubt it came from here. Present on planet sobek, the 5th planet in fury3.

I would say the best fighter in game is the player's: named the grim reaper.

But I don't remember a ship named mother... Where does it come from in the game?

Besides, I think you would be interested in this fighter on erigone: the shreak.

Hey, do some people know how to make custom levels under f-zone!? (the fury3 level editor), if so, we could host the levels here perhaps, as no one has to my knowledge custom fury3 levels.

It's a bridge, not a cockpit. If it's a cargo ship it'd be larger than a fighter.

I dunno if it's the original files or BinEdit's exporting, but the scale on all the ships is very different.
