Confused about the ship in the centre. Guess it's centred to draw attention so I'd ask? Or am I being really dense and should I have run into in WiH?

Everytime someone says Colussus I'm tempted to FRED a what-if scenario about what'd happen if the GTVA'd send a refit Colussus-type into Sol to finish business. :P Hearing of the Colussus gives some good Freespace 2 retail memories. It's like Eidos' "Deus Ex", every time someone mentions it, someone will replay it. :P

Ahh the Hades..funny story with that. The first time I played ST, every person on my team got killed in the Hades mission and I piddled away at it for 2 hours with my Herc before i made it go boom.

Also its odd that the Sactuary's middle part is longer than a normal Orion. Desired or accidental?

The preserver is about 17 Orion's nose to end. I figure it would take about 10 minutes to fly the length.  :eek:

I just now notice the Raynor is as big as the Lucifer, and the Solaris is even bigger. Can we call them superdestroyers?
Also, is the Preserver bigger than the Gigas?

No, "Superdestroyer" is reserved for ships that display some sort of massively powerful ability that no other ships in the "Destroyer" range has. Titans, Raynors and Solarii are just scaled up from normal DDs, they don't have absolutely game-changing technologies like the Lucy's planet-toasting weapons, or the Hades' beams.

So funny how the Raynor (one of my favorite-in-design ships) look so tiny & cute on the 3rd pic  :lol:

EDIT : and it's with stuff like this that you realize how rich the FreeSpace universe has become during only a few years !

The thing I've always liked about Steve-O's fighters is that he paid attention to scale.  It always kind of bugged me in FS2 how a Herc II, which is much more heavily armored and can carry far more missiles, isn't actually any larger than a Perseus.  Now, if we could just get lods for Steve-O's ships, they would be perfect.   :drevil:

Well, most of his ships also need resmoothing, a uvmap instead of a tile texture, and model optimizations.

They don't need resmoothing anymore.

Wow nice work Hades - that's pretty comprehensive. Stuff like the rayanor is a lot bigger than I remember, and far out how massive would a seraphim in real life look. o_o
