Re: Hades' Size comparison thread
What is the fighter in top left corner, second one from the top (below Wraith)? It looks like a part of Federal fighter pack, but I'm quite sure that this fighter wasn't in that pack.

BTW I see no Federal fighter pack Thor fighter.

Re: Hades' Size comparison thread
No, around 270m actually.  A SotS destroyer is only 30m long give or take (around the size of a Boanerges or Medusa), with cruisers being 3x that at 90m (a little smaller than a Satis), and dreadnoughts being 3x cruisers at 270m approximately, which is the size of an Aeolus.

Haha thanks for the correction! I forgot that bit. How the heck do they stuff 20 people into those destroyers? They say in SOTSII the new Leviathans are 3x larger than the DNs too, making them 810m? Close but no cigar! An Orion is still much bigger.
I have created a masterpiece.

War in Heaven includes a couple fighters that were made by Steve-O but not included in the FFP, the Izra'il/Banshee and Vajradhra/Hellraiser. Similarly, since these shots were originally BP-themed, the Thor is not included as it was not used in War in Heaven.

Very tightly.

[21:51] <@Droid803> as this rich psychic girl will now be tsundere for a loli.

See what you're missing in #WoD and #Fsquest?

[07:57:32] <Caiaphas> inspired by HerraTohtori i built a supermaneuverable plane in ksp
[07:57:43] <Caiaphas> i just killed my pilots with a high-g maneuver
[07:58:19] <Caiaphas> apparently people can't take 20 gees for 5 continuous seconds
[08:00:11] <Caiaphas> the plane however performed admirably, and only crashed because it no longer had any guidance systems

Re: Hades' Size comparison thread
The blue ship in the center is the Emperor, also made by Esarai.

so... is it up for download somewhere (along with the other red one), or have they been snatched up by a project like BP?

[EDIT] And the Horizon, for that matter. None of them are on FSMods or anywhere else from what I can tell.

BP makes a concerted effort not to keep any exclusive models. As far as I know all of our complete assets during R1 development were shared or open.

Re: Hades' Size comparison thread
Well, the ones I mentioned aren't on FSMods or the user-made ships Wiki page (although I know the Horizon is/was up for download- it's just the insanely high-poly one with all the substructure). I looked through the forum search, but honestly I don't expect that to turn up anything. Anyone know where I can get these?

Shocked by how big the Aten still is, always thought it to be much smaller.

Decided to bump this with a cleaner layout for retail-only ships. You may notice something new or two ;)

The Amazon is... rather large. And when I first saw them, I noticed that almost all the Vasudan strikecraft are about the same length, but that seems to be common to all three species' strikecraft. At least the fighters, anyway.

Mephisto, Ma'at, Bes and Poseidon are also very similar in length. And so are most of the destroyers. :p

Re: Ship Size Comparison Thread
It just goes to show how skewed a persons sense of scale can get with no fixed reference points, for example I knew the Ursa and Seraphim were huge but I didn't realise they compared to the FS1 freighters like that.

The size difference between the transports is quite remarkable as well

Re: Ship Size Comparison Thread
It just made me realize how tiny the Lucifer, boss ship of FS1, mighty invulnerable Shivan mothership, is compared to the Vishnan Preserver.  :shaking:

Hmm...anyone care to upload Inferno ships? Lots of huge ships there, Vinaashak, Gigas, Icanus (both bigger than the Preserver, just about as long, but obviously wider), perhaps even the long-awaited Gargant, notorious for its utter invincibility. Oh, and I forgot to mention the Pyrgos. Is it to be released in ASW? (the Pyrgos apparently is in the mainhall).
With the rapid increase of FS fan-made campaigns, we're giving the GTVA a harder time with more violence and genocide.

figure i might as well post all nukemod ships with some retail ships for reference.

i left out the dante because it managed to make the original post. needless the say the above image could fit snugly between its arms.

this is certainly a good way to debug scale, i see at least four ships there that are either too big or too small.
