OK...this is the thread giving information as to where you can send your Setekh Cards!

The following guidelines must be carried out in creation of your card:

• Image must contain no bad or obscene words/pictures/etc.
• Image must be saved in JPEG format
• Image must be 700x500 pixels or less in size.
  

That's all.   you can put anything you want on it... a render, drawing, picture, text, or any combination of them!  Be creative, cause Setekh's going to read every single one of them

Also I've decided that because these are all JPEGs, 'quality' does matter... so please dont' worry about FILE size... (as long as it follows the three rules above) make the quality as GOOD AS IT CAN BE... because especially on a big JPEG, quality makes a big difference, and i've decided not to worry about size.  If we have to send a CD to him somehow that's fine too.  So remember...

• [in addition to the above three rules]
• Make the picture good quality.  File size does not matter

Although you should try to keep the picture not a tremendously large.

When you're done, email to:

You can email either the entire picture as an attachment, or you can email me a link to the picture (highly recommended... so the mailbox doesn't flood)

I don't know a deadline right now, but send them as soon as possible.  I realize a lot of people aren't reading this because they're away on vacation (in most countries these are school holidays) and i want as many people as possible to participate.

Lol. Ahhh, yes. The young 'uns are coming. Sweet, sweet children they are .

Anyways, Setekh used to be  an admin here at HLP. In fact, he was one of the "founding fathers" of the place. But, he was most famous for his renders, his ever-changing avatar (even worse than Thunder) and his post count (which at one point was over 1/4 of all total postss on the forum. Anyways, if you want to see some of his work, check out the Array. It's where he used to keep all of his stuff.

I'm not going to make a card, (I'd much prefer to just talk to him onve ICQ again ) but I'm not stopping you guys and I'm not going to spoil the surprise for you.

In answer to your questions:

darkage:  It'd be fine to post the link here... or PM it to me if you don't want people to see it.

vyper:  You don't have to put a render on it!  If you want to just have a blank plain white card that says "we miss you" then that's fine too!

Unknown Target  EDIT:  I'm not going to post my picture... it's not 'private' or anything, but your cards should be INDIVIDUAL and UNIQUE.  no one card should be the same.  Just take a card, make sure it follows all 4 rules above, and go crazy on it.  do whatever you want to it

Stryke 9  Was that your card you sent me?  if so, then please note the email i replied with, and put all text ON the picture and not seperate.

Also please remember to let me know who the card is from and also know Setekh who it's from!  (i.e. sign your name on the bottom... your HLP forums name, so he knows)

One more thing.  That '[email protected]' doesn't direct the cards directly to him.  If you send your cards or a link to your cards there, I receive them.  I will archive them and when they're all together we'll send them to him.

Also PLEASE remember to make the quality good, regardless of the file size.

EDIT 2:  So many people have asked me these two questions it's not even funny... I'll reply now...


1)  I don't know how to render, what should i put on my card?
PUT ANYTHING YOU WANT... these cards are unique, they're supposed to be different each one, no two cards should look alike.  Put a blank white card with writing on it if you want!  If you don't want to or don't know how to put a render, then put a screenshot from Freespace or some game, or put a generic background or a plain color background or something!

2)  Where does the email address we're sending the cards to ([email protected]) send the cards to?  Who does it send them to?

That email address does not send any cards to Setekh.  I am the only one that is allowed to check that email address, and when you send cards (or links to cards) there, I'll save them, upload them, and archive them.  When i have all cards, we'll (i will) send them to Setekh.  He doesn't know about this yet, please no one tell (attempt to) him
