i'm using max 8, and on this version of the model, i've spent maybe about 2 hours so far.

Nice, this brings back memories from "Balance of Power" .... there were some though missions focussing on  capturing one of those babies.

I'm just playing around. Can't a Star Wars fan drool over what he reckons is a cool cruiser with excellent strategic/tactical capabilities while he waits patiently to be able to buzz the tower in a TIE fighter?
