Except I knew about the non-glowmapped textures and changed them too. Most obvious examples of ships with non-glowmapped textures are rakshasa, rahu and belial.

If you're using 3.6.10 mediavps, you need to make sure these vps are in the same (or higher priority) directory:

  • custom_shivans_htl_ravana
  • custom_shivans_<colour>

from the 3.6.10 recolour pack.

If you also want the animated glowmaps, you will need these in addition:

  • custom_shivans_animated_eff
  • custom_shivans_animated_<colour>

from the 3.6.10 animated recolour pack.

I don't think you should have the advanced effects if you haven't downloaded the animated glow-map recolour.

Yes...I installed the game not to long ago because I'm using a laptop I bought...so I didn't touch anything...the MediaVPs that came with it are the 3.6.8 Zeta, I added 3.6.10 Beta...

So by "adding" you hopefully mean that you've moved all the vps away from the mediavps folder before placing the 3.6.10 MediaVPs in?

NOTE: if you do not have the 3.610 Mediavps, you will still need the original to get the LODs to work.

Which dds format? Were you able to figure out how to change the colours without lossy compression or ending up with large filesizes? Something like that would be handy to know, since I never actually learned this stuff. PCX was last resort for me. :(

You can do weapons and thruster glows if you want. I can give you all the stuff I used so you can release packs with future mediavp versions too.

The instructions said to remove ALL older .vp files and place the 3.6.10 .vps in the folder, I did just that, so a list really wouldn't be necessary, since there's five files.

For the 3.6.10 vps, the blue Shivans pack for 3.6.10 and blue Shivan glowmaps for 3.6.10.
Does the exe really need to be mentioned, I installed the game not a long time ago so it's not modified...unless I need a build other than 20071007T but I can't find any builds for 3.6.10.

I wasn't able to reproduce the problem with the build you have.
