Well, ma'am or sir, we have an answer for
you.Look at all those little blue brackets to starboard of the ship - point defense guns telling you what they're shooting at. Also note the weapons and distance monitors, courtesy of a certain brilliant vowel-man. And lastly, see the little HUD icon of the Karuna? That thing is 3D and its grav drive actually spins.
You can glide. You can strafe down the side of a massive destroyer firing your railguns into its flanks as you sweep around behind it. GLIDING CAPSHIPS.
Here I'm just getting some distance from bombers:
In the thick of it with a pair of Tev corvettes. Notice that one of my jamming pulses just ended.
An artsy simultaneous kill on the two of them, assisted by the sudden arrival of my partner the
Altan Orde. Those orange slashes on the screen are the trails of beams cutting across my ship.
Time for damage control! The tactical menu allows you to pick between several abilities running on a shared cooldown timer, Mass Effect 2 - style. Fluff involves ship power allocation, a la Starfleet Command.
All HUD elements in those shots are placeholders, so don't worry about the text overlapping those head .anis. It'll get prettified. We're also hoping to get show-ship implemented for first-person view.
(also, there was at one point an objective in the mission pictured above that involved pushing an Arcadia to a new location
