hmm.. i have no idea what you just said.

You can use the cut tool to make polies inside of another, and it doesn't affect the UV mapping normally. Then you can use bevel or extrude to make parts stick out and the UV mapping is the same, except for the sides of the extrusion, where it's a stretch of one or two pixels, but very easy to fix.

It's not about he UV mapping for me though, it's about polycount.

Not even. I cut the shape, as you say, then I don't use extrude, I use the cut tool to cut again around the shape I just created, and I move that poly. So I don't even have to remap the "extrusion" polys.

Does that mean when I understood what he said, I need to get a life ?

The erinyes always had all its polies smoothed into eachother, i guess you didn't use it too much.

Looks good, but the cockpit is funny, in combat it'd be well-nigh impossible to see out of. Make the spars thinner and have less of them :)

I was always under the impression that given the HUD we see, at least part of the view is generated and not looking out of the window.

I like the general set up, but theres something there that just doesn't look 'Erinyes'. I think it's the nose, but I can't quite figure out for certain..

Update, and for all the naysayers i'm posting the original one too.

though the end of the original's "clips" look a bit more curled up i assure you they are exactly the same.

Woah, nice!  Is Nico's cockpit behind that glass? ;7

There's something a tad goofy about the frontmost side panels of the cockpit glass; that bar running across (yes, I know it's in the actual model's textures) just looks out of place.  Also, there's a second diagonal bar where you've got the bottom corner of the same window; it's a little hard to see in the textures, but it's definitely there.  The window should corner up square against the panel behind it, with a small bar running where you currently have the actual end of the window.

All those things are absolutely minor, though.  Stunning work!
