I finally at least installed a new game out of my backlog (Far Cry 3).  Now I just need to muster up the will to play it, instead of looking for more money to waste on the steam sale.

****, you know what, I just remembered I haven't finished Assassin's Creed 2 yet.  I don't know what's up, but I haven't been able to make myself play anything new at all in the past several months.  I keep playing Kane's Wrath skirmishes and old n64 remakes on my 3DS.  I wonder if I'm slowly starting to lose interest in video games.....

Funnily enough I just bought Kanes Wrath and have been playing the hell out of it. Balance issues ahoy. I got it because of the Steel Talons, Marked of Kane and the Black Hand factions due to me loving Tiberian Sun  . I kinda feel like installing the C&C Online client for it and playing some online matches.

I've also forgotten completely about Homeworld because I've been playing KW, Hotline Miami and Warframe.

I probably have more hours in Kane's Wrath skirmishes than in any other single game over my 30+ years of playing (going back to Atari 2600 days).  I usually play as ZOCOM.  The Global Conquest mode sounded fun, but I never got the hang of it.

I play random factions.  Zocom is one of my favorites though.  I played global conquest through maybe twice.  Good concept, not well executed.

While ZOCOM has the best MARV I don't really like how their faction plays, I would rather play plain GDI. I tryed to get into the Steel Talons but they just feel weird and have no high level infantry. I don't really play Scrin either. Overall I got to say I love the Black Hand out of all the subfactions.

If you have GameRanger or C&C Online I guess if you either of you wanted to we could play a game or two? It's up to you though and I don't know if the connection would be good.

I guess I could try it out, but I've never once played CnC online.  The only multiplayer I've ever done at all was RA2 in my high school programming class.  I don't know build orders and the perfect strategies and all that kind of carry on, I really just play casually for fun.  Rushing makes me rage.  I wish I could set the AI personality to random except NO ****ING RUSHERS.

Same. I don't really have any of that really good strategies or anything. I just play for fun as well and the only other person I know that plays it doesnt want to play it with me.

I actually find it kinda nice ... but then again I play as stealthy as the stealth system let's me and so the power spike when I enter my armour is huge (also he Nuclear Physiscist-Perks helps, requires Int 8 or 9)


Xenoblade Chronicles X shapes up to be really good but the criticsm if it's pace is justified (half may to my mech licence, so I can't comment on the power increase I will get once that)

I just discovered that an enhanced version of the original System Shock exists and is on Steam.

I've played through it before, but I kind of want to do so again. I've played a few easy modern games lately and I want some old-school challenge.

I've recently returned to some old games of my childhood.

I bought Age of Empires II HD, with two unofficial expansions (African Kingdoms and Forgotten) and I play it for several weeks.

All in all, there is something in a statement that old games have some unique atmosphere most modern productions lack...

Finally started playing my bass in rocksmith again.  I picked up some killer music in the steam winter sale.  My fingers hurt.

Wish I could see the appeal.  Space engineers has always been a game that sounds cool in concept but looks quite dull in execution with the amount of time constructing something disproportionately more than the amount of fun you'd have actually going into battle with that thing.  Even the battle, as impressive as the ships were doesn't look too dissimilar from a simple game like Gratuitous Space Battles with the three battleships only making a single pass. Still glad to see a game like that has an audience.


As for me, just playing Killzone 2.  Nothing too exciting but I enjoy playing linear games which will last only 10-14 hours.

Back to boring Fallout 4, so I can play Dragon's Dogma at the weekend (when I am not playing Xenoblade Chronicles X - Skell combat is loads of fun)

(yeah, I am not a fan of Bethesda's Fallout-1 re-runs)
