team colors for cockpits?

do cockpits support team colors right now?
if not, could this be added?
it strikes me as rather silly if you are flying a red fighter but your cockpit is all blue...

Indeed, this is an interesting question. I haven't tried team-coloring a cockpit yet (they do work with "show ship" flag), but I might try it in the near future.
