I love this thread. It's amazing. I want an extra $400 to buy a new computer, one that can run FS2. :P

Just turn everything off.

Right before I joined the board I still ran Fs2 on a p2 400mhz!!!
Mostof my DTP marked screenies were on that computer! :P

Voodoo 3?
Every pilot's goal is to rise up in the ranks and go beyond their purpose to a place of command on a very big ship. Like the colossus; to baseball bat everyone.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Good days. I used to run Descent 3 on a Compaq with a Pentium !!! 500 mHz and 63 MB RAM using Direct 3D on ATi RAGE 128. The menu screen was animated! :eek2:

On OpenGL, it's static.

How in Hell did OpenGL survive? Why did all the best APIs die out? OGL is the worst of the lot!

Well, you either have Microsoft&D3D or OpenGL.
There never was a lot to choose from.

The dark Orion looks really good with blue beams. ;7

The last act of defiance for this Lucifer, unfortunately it was in vain.

Shaft'd. :D

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Looks nice. BTW, your trailers do hint to a very promising mod. (I'm too lazy to make an FSMods account, that's why I post it here :D ) Only - hard to explain - pixels don't have the same size on each monitor. On my screen, the subtitles overlap each other. :(

What's that in the middle of the picture, under the beams? Debris or a ship?

I'll fix that - well, at least I'll make a 1024x768-version once all cutscences are done in 1680x1050 (my screen res) - currently I just too busy to do that (finishing the campaign has priority above user-friendlyness of its cutscenes)

Debris - the remains of another fated AC Iraklion

Boystrous 19 year old temp at work slapped me in the face with an envelope and laughed it off as playful. So I shoved him over a desk and laughed it off as playful. It's on camera so I can plead reasonable force.  Temp is now passive.
