We're experimenting with another new forum layout, in order to emphasize the hosted projects that have actually released something or are getting something done.  Let's let this go for a week or so, and then see what everybody thinks -- whether it works or not.

When I saw the announcement, my first thought was "Damn, now I've got to get used to a new layout again". But it looks ok, giving projects that have made releases a bit more prominence makes sense. And I don't need to get used to all the forums being in a new place

Projects with releases were given seperate categories from pure WIP projects. Only change. There's an announcement about it.

I'm iffy about it. While on the one hand it makes things clear, the repetition of "Hosted Projects" in three separate categories looks off to me. What about mandating child boards for projects that have released demos/final releases? If a project releases a demo, they create a "demo releases" child board, and it is renamed to "releases" (or "final releases") when they make a final version.

Think of it like the Recent Builds child board on the Source Code Project forum. Projects without child boards could be assumed to be WIP.

But, I also like things as they are now too. So anywho, it works.

That'd work Gregster, but our main goal with this change is to indicate which projects are in which positions easily. Personally I'd rather the front page of the forums weren't any more bulky than they had to be - but it does do the job.
