I don't like how it isn't really a render, a picture, a painting or a cell-shaded in-game screenshot, but kinda a blend of everything.

It's too indeterminate.

And there's too much background. Crop the image some.

The only rendered thing is the basic herc itself, everything else ( shading, background, etc ) I made in toshop.
The original plan was to move the ship on the left, add two black lines on the top and bottom edges with the herc layer overlapping them, and add a character on the right, then I though "to hell with that" and just stopped. Yeah I'm lazy.

Well, that wasn't really the plan, I was just searching for a name to give to the thread
Since I didn't do what I planed to, the pic lacks any purpose, it's just a pointless show-off coz I was happy with how the ship itslef looks. I'm not happy with the background or the engine flames, to be honest.

Lighting seems wrong.  Where is the light from the backgroud, its fairly bright. And add a point light or two for the engine glows.
