It's easy to see why, and hey, we're celebrating FreeSpace here, remember? Those pictures are perfect. :yes2::nod::yes:

The first shot was brilliant.

As for the second shot, I want to know why the victim was so bright.

Bad angle. Too much specularity.

Uh oh. Something bigger and badder than the Daegon with the same approximate length? Looks awesome.
Too bad the screens lack a starfield and nebulae :(

Only this one might not turn out looking as good with dark Orion textures. :P

Well, the battle is kinda pitched, since the daegon hasn't been beam-freed all. But in terms of non-beam loadout, Sarynthon can easily chew out the daegon.

This was a quickly assembled test mission. I might improve. I just finally got subsystems to work. Still need to get dockpoints to line up. They appear about maybe 50-70 m behind where they're supposed to. It's kinda annoying.

Re: A celebration of Freespace

It looks kind of like the TCS Tiger Claw. (Scooby Doo's Tiger Claw, I mean.)

I think it looks smaller, I mean it's closer and it's shorter then the Daegon.

I see zero relevance.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Ugh, I think that was the wrong one...

I don't think so - in my mind, this ship and the front of the Tiger Claw look similar. A long nose, which then has fin-like protrusions with turrets on them.

Unless you mean that all this is irrelevant. :nervous:

I see zero relevance.
So I'll stop rambling now. :)

Re: A celebration of Freespace
But that entire section on the Tiger Claw class is flat.
The Sarynthon has stuff coming out from everywhere, not to mention half the width of the Tiger Claw's bow.
I look at it ten more times and still see a Dreadnought armed behemoth.

And also, the fin-like protrustion has only one turret. :p

Re: A celebration of Freespace
What to do when you're a Leviathan and you get hit by a LRed? (Which is BTW kinda same size as leviathan ^^)

You apparently shoot only one low powered missile in retaliation.
Every pilot's goal is to rise up in the ranks and go beyond their purpose to a place of command on a very big ship. Like the colossus; to baseball bat everyone.

I won't use google for you.
