So when are you gonna teach the little lady how to post arguing two slightly different points? How about Freespace? When does that come along?
Anyway, congratulations!

How about Freespace?
I expect the child to be FREDding her first campaign by the time she's five! :D
Congrats though :)

So... you gonna name her HLP?
-
Congratulations!
...should someone fire a welcome beam?
-
So... you gonna name her HLP?
If you want a girl's name, go with Athena. Naming her after the greek goddess of wisdom can't hurt.
-
Congradulations

Pfft, she'd get eaten alive in middle-school.

Picked on = Unpopular = No boyfriend = No sex worries for Ses.

Aaaah, you're a crafty one.

That can be interpreted so utterly wrongly. Besides, there's always the nightmare scenario she'd run into someone like me who'd think being named "Athena" was neat.
In other news...Sesq you poor bastard.
-
ok so not athena
hmmm
how about frank

I just noticed Elena is wearing a top with a two fingered salute on it! :wakka:
And apologies if my beam dazzled her too much, I did set it on the lowest intensity I could ;)

I just noticed Elena is wearing a top with a two fingered salute on it! :wakka:
 That just makes the picture even funnier
even if it is obviously really a bunny rabbit

They get big fast. Mine is all ready 2.

I... dislike children. But I understand that people who actually have them tend to like at least their own kids. In that vein then, well done sah, and good luck.

More like Tailand. There are also some corners of South America and Japan.

See? Samus is really a guy! :ha:
I... dislike children. But I understand that people who actually have them tend to like at least their own kids. In that vein then, well done sah, and good luck.
Hmm. Have some kids of your own then; perhaps that way you'll like children in general better. :)
(Or, if you're short on cash and/or a candidate mom, make friends with people who already have kids.)
-
Some people just aren't 'children' people.
Ironically enough these are the ones kids find most fascinating.....
-
I am a child person. Most likely because I am still technically a child.
-
As other said BFCongratulations! ;)
-
Congratulations ! She looks so sweeet! I like children.....as long as theyr not getting me up in the midddle of the night !But anyway great job she is a cutie. So did i get this right...her first campaign at about 5 ??
Man o man cant wait!
-
I reckon any child of an HLP-ian, will turn out like Stewie Griffen.
-
You Do realize you just placed her under great pressure. In 5 years time we will be expecting her "campaign" and if it sucks she will be tormented relentlessly... :drevil: I'm willing to cut her some slack and settle for a retail effort... (new get her to work, clocks ticking!!!)
Since she's been named "Officially", unofficially she could be: Helena "Lightspeed" Pedalian... (or substitute "Lightning-Marshall") Of course either would be guaranteed torment at school, but sacrifices MUST be made!
Damn Metroid, either he HATES that hat, or he's gotta go number 2... (bet he appreciates that on the net).
-
That's awesome. Congratulations and good on you for being part of the ever-diminishing crowd who think it's important to have children when you're married (which is part of the ever-diminishing crowd of people who think it's important to get married if you're in a long-term relationship!). Gimme a little while to put mine together. :)
-
Hmmm...prehaps we should give her bunny?

He is pissed because I took his superman away to take the picture. He is giving me his "I will smile because you are making me but I am really mad" smile.

Black Wolf - you were once a child.

Black Wolf - you were once a child.
Black Wolf was never a child. He was assembled by :v: from parts of dead hobos, hence his drinking and odor issues.

You know, that will really get her ahead! She'll be learning to program before most can even read. Glad she wont end up like the idiots I saw back in school.

...my 3.5 year old can read any logical* English word of up to 5 letters... :nervous:
* "Logical" meaning it sounds the way it's spelled. So, "run" and "jump" are fine, whereas "light" or "tune" aren't.
-
Unfortunately that cuts out at least 75% of the language.

Well, mine can't read yet, but she can count to 100... same relative age.
-
Is it really that unusual?
-
Don't know. Limited opportunities for comparison.
-
once you can count to twenty, it's pretty much the same from there on. :P
-
Edit --
fffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Got to remember to read the dates.
Also -
Who knows of any good pc games for the kids that starts them down the programming world?

oh god don't do that to your kid.

Wow. Did not expect anyone to remember!
Up to #3 by the way. 1 is hard until you realize what is going on. #2 is easy. #3 is crazy because they out number the parents!
Congrats! Enjoy not sleeping!
How could I forget, with that famous thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=22731.0)? And your original title, "Future father of samus"? :D
Who knows of any good pc games for the kids that starts them down the programming world?
I remember playing a bunch of games in school that did simple programming. There was Logo for the Commodore 64, and some sort of crystal game for the Mac.

CeeBot (http://www.ceebot.com/ceebot/index-e.php)

Minecraft (the redstone stuff).
-
Redstone might be a bit tough if the kid is much younger than freespace. If not, it's a good idea. FREDding is also a good way to get your feet wet with the entire make-computer-do-things mentality.
