Besides Freespace that is. Unless you want to list it.
Yeah, I know, pointless thread. But it can be fun.
I started up Homeworld1 a while ago, and started to play through that but stopped for a bit on the Cathedral of Gadesh (with those cool multibeam frigates) when I got super busy with work.
Instead I'm playing Xcom2 TFTD. Steam is good for one thing at least, cheap classics for 5 bucks.
Just launched my first pair of Colony Assaults, though taking losses. Sucks without MC trained peeps, but at least I got Disruptors. At each base I only came in with one, but after the first level of the first base there were 14 or so lying around so I managed to acquire a few more (ridiculous).

i just spent a half hour playing kingdom of loathing.

PC Games: Prince of Persia Sands of Time, GTA III, Medal of Honour: Allied Assault, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, Splinter Cell Chaos: Theory, Procyon Insurgency (FSOpen).
Xbox 360 Games: PES 6, Juiced 2, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Halo 3.
That's just at the moment- I still have a few others games installed on the PC that I have yet to play, (i.e. Babylon 5 IFH, X2 The Threat.....Just the ones I can remember at the mo').
:)

Damnit Davros, stop scaring the **** out of us.
Anyway, Linux doesn't offer much in terms of entertainment so I'm just playing small games that come included with gnome and now and then I fire up some random freeware game that happens to be in Gentoo's repository or that Wine doesn't complain about too much.

Jesus ***ing Christ, the combat in Sands of Time was PAINFUL. I ended up using some checkpoints online to skip some of the fight sequences they were so bad. Keyboard-mashingly unfun is what every single fight sequence in that game was. Of course, it depended on combos, which, of course, were derived from a console.
I haven't been able to find Pandora Tomorrow though I do want to play it. Where'd you snag a copy?
As for the topic of the thread, I just finished the original Homeworld and I'm eagerly awaiting my Homeworld 2 ebay purchase to arrive in the mail =) I also play Fortress Forever (a HL2 mod) quite frequently.

actually sands of time was very very good, they killed it with the second game though
-
Keyboard Mashing??? I use a joypad/gamepad! :P Although the camera angles during fight scenes can be a PITA!
I bought Pandora Tomorrow from GameStation! Dunno whether you've heard of it, small compared to Game, but better prices and older pre-owned consoles etc. (the local one is still selling second hand Master Systems & Mega-Drives). Pandora Tomorrow comes on 4 cd-roms rather than the one DVD-rom that comes with Chaos Theory.

Actually I think the combat in Sands of Time would be fantastic if it wasn't for the silly artificial difficulty they used. By the time you get to the end of the game half your moves are totally worthless because the enemies will just block them.
Keyboard mashing will get you nowhere with it, though. You can get some pretty fluid fights going even in the later areas if you know what you're doing.

People like to **** on Warrior Within, but the fact is it's not that bad of a game. The combat is the best in the trilogy, the Dahaka chases are great and the story had some pretty cool ideas. It's just a damn shame its immaturity buries most of these redeeming points under layers of mascara and metal thongs.
On topic, I seem to be replaying the entire Baldur's Gate trilogy at the moment.

For combos in sands of time i just programmed them into my x52 :D

Ransom, you seem like someone who'd go nuts over Planescape Torment. Have you tried it?

How many times can you bounce a ball in an hour, Then try to beat it..........

Ransom, you seem like someone who'd go nuts over Planescape Torment. Have you tried it?
Absolutely. I only finished it for the first time a couple of weeks ago, actually.
To be honest I was a little underwhelmed by the ending, but I suspect that was thanks to how I went about it. All the same, yeah, one of the finest narratives I've had the pleasure of playing through.

Navy Field

Tiberian Sun, Yuri's Revenge, Earth 2150, Freelancer, HomeWorld2, HomePlanet, FreeSpace, and etc.

I believe there are multiple endings, yes, though I've never actually played it myself.

I dunno about the rest of you but when I play a game I play I'm addicted for like, a week or two and then I drop it entirely for like a year. I guess not everyone's like that since a lot of people are listing 10 games or more.
-
I am playing various multiplayer co-op games with my brother these days, whenever I get time for gaming anyway. At the moment, we're going through Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory's co-op campaign, which is fairly long and adds a lot to the already top notch game. It ties into events that take place during the singleplayer campaign and is generally of a similar level of quality.
We're also playing C&C3:KW fairly often. These games can be quite hilarious when a lot of AIs are playing. We typically play 4v4s with the AIs making up the other spots. I would like to play the older C&C games too, but they only support IPX (even TS, a 1999 game) and we haven't been able to get that working through Hamachi. I was at my parents' place last weekend though and they were great fun over a serial link, especially with various mods.
-
Most recently, I've been playing Portal (working on advanced and challenge maps) and Silent Hunter III (completing run through the war before picking up IV). I've also got a game running in the Fall From Heaven official MOD for CivIV, but that seems to be on hiatus at the moment.
I also had a recent, aborted attempt to make another run through Extraction Point, but really, if you're going to play FEAR, play the original and skip the awful expansions. It's not like they're really canon to the FEAR continuity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F.E.A.R._Extraction_Point#Canonicity) anyway.
I might have another round of FRED and FS2 coming up this summer.... It seems that campaigning in Silent Hunter often precedes another return to FreeSpace.

Extraction Point is actually pretty good. It's more tense, psychologically than the original.
The thing I didn't like about it is the "oh, Paxton's back and there's no real explanation for it. Just get to it".
I couldn't get the second xp to run, Perseus Mandate, but it honestly from what I knowit doesn't make sense. Another FEAR team? And this guy does slow mo too?? Eh, whatever. The whole point of slo mo was because the original guy was special. Add a second no-name to that list, and suddenly he's not so special anymore.
-
My feeling was that FEAR was an exceptional first-person shooter, and the expansion packs, while they would have been 'meh' on their own, are pretty bad given the inevitable (and somewhat necessary) comparison. The level design isn't designed around the AI's strengths as well as in the first game, and the above-average plot of the original was tossed straight out the window by the time you're fifteen minutes in. Expansion packs really need to improve upon or at least offer content of the same calibre of the original game, and the FEAR expansions are definately some big backward steps. I don't know what else TimeGate Studios has developed to this point, but Extraction Point and what I know about Perseus Mandate don't inspire a great deal of faith in me about their skill as game developers.

FS2
Half-Life 2
All the Episodes
Just got Counter Strike: Source/ Day of Defeat: Source
Garry's Mod
Age of Empires 1/2 (have 3, but I can't play it)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Star Wars: Empire at War/ Forces of Corruption/The Stargate Mod
BtRL
Empire Earth II
Portal
Team Fortress 2
-
Oni
Star Wars: Empire at War/Forces of Corruption
Universe at War: Earth Assault
Battleships Forever
That's about all the games I have and that I have played within the last year or so...
-
Just installed Sins of a Solar Empire, might give that a go now.
Other than that, i'm playing surprisingly few games as of late. All my game-time seems to be taken up by intertube surfing, downloading obscure movies and TV shows, and other, less important things like going outside.
-
Davros has about 10 games that i can't seem to hunt down in Singapore.
Playing :
Orange Box
Homeworlds 1 & 2 (btw, I just finished the Kadesh mission, I managed to swipe ALL the multi-beam frigates W00T)
Sins of a Solar Empire
Finishing up Overlord later
Bioshock'
=edit=
I missed out a few.
Forged Alliance
C&C: Kane's Wrath
DoW Series.
Considering re-installing Hellgate London, F.E.A.R. I also finally laid my hands on Oblivion.
I just finished playing UaW too.

I know what you mean. I played Extraction Point mainly cause Little Mummy was helpful now. She wipes out a battalion of Replican Elites, then you can hear her voice whisper 'You're safe now.' Oh, also cause I could carve my name in the wall with the Laser Carbine W00T!
Perseus Mandate is ... Meh. Just ... Meh. The appearance of a second slow-mo guy is so weird. I thought the whole reason the Point Man was special cause he could Slow-Mo, and that's cause he's Alma's son. Perseus makes it seem like every F.E.A.R member has slow-mo.

Just played a 3 and half hour game on the smallest map I could find. This game rocks.

Ah for a second I thought it was Relic's new game. Saw a while ago on, Reviews on the Run or EP that the guys who made homeworld were doing a new game in a similar vein, though they were trying to make the interface more accessible for everyone who doesn't get it.

I don't get how the interface could be more clear than what it was in HW2. I mean, they added a HUD for goodness sakes, and on top of that, practically everything was on the XZ plane. There weren't anymore formations either. Pretty much all of the complexity of the game was removed with HW2; if they made it any simpler then they'd be making like a flash game or something.

I still havn't finished mine on one of the largest settings. I've maxxed out the tech tree too, and have two HUGE fleets running amok around. Luckily I've cornered one of the factions in 3-4 systems, so they SHOULD be going down pretty fast.
Btw, i've been at it for the better part of a week.

It sounds like I'll have to get this game.

Have you guys played that Galactic Civilisations II game? That looks kinda interesting, MOO1-style thing, but I didn't pick it up yet.

Hegemonia: Legions of Iron
A FS2 mod for it would be awesome.

As of this moment, Starship Troopers: Terran Ascendancy. Class 1 Marauder Suits > You.
Recently, EVE, GalCiv 2 Dread Avatar (which is kicking my ass), and MechCommander 1 and its expansion in prep for playing MC2 and Magic's Unofficial Expansion again. :P

I'm alternating between a decidedly shaky Crysis mod (still got that psychic Korean problem...) and a very heavily enhanced copy of Oblivion.
On that point, anyone know if the FCOM mod worth the headache of installing?

There's an FS2 Modfor Homeworld 2, isn't there ?

Yes. It's being very VERY slowly updated. But there are releases. I have the version with high speed.

Awesome. I love the Hiigaran Destroyers, especially when they get into broadside positions.
Once, I got bored and gave the Interceptor the ability to fire missiles along with their main gun, added a rear firing turret to the bombers, plastered point defense guns on all the capital ships, gave the mothership 4 ion cannons, and accidentally reduced the fire wait time on the battlecruiser's projectile cannons to near instant.
Then I played the campaign. ;7
-
All you needs the one dollar shielded ion beam scout. There's a tut on relic.forums somewhere. . .

Yea, I did that too. Was fun watching the scout pick on the interceptor. But it made the campaign too easy. So I messed around with the lua files and pumped up my army, but still made my units killable.
Just made them the way I thought they should be ... actually i made the interceptor like that because of FS2.

The first Homeworld 2 mod I'm installing after I finish the vanilla campaign is the BSG Fleet Commander mod. It looks sweet =)
-
Imo, HW 2 needs a mod manager of some sort. I want to play both PDS and the SW mod.
-
I use a template shortcut for hw2. AFF, Point defense and a few personal projects i have. same as my using Fred for the various mod setups i have.
To save desktop space just keep them in a folder.

Template shorcut ? Don't you have to overwrite HW2's data folders for the mod to work ?
-
? I have all my Mods in .big files.

I thought to install mods you have to overwrite the default .big files ?

Good luck with that. The latest version is less stable than a one-legged chair. Couldn't even get it working at all, myself.

What else do I play, besides FS2 ? The whole Page wouldn´t be enough, to write it down, because i´m playing now since 17 Years. I started with a CPC464 (anyone remembers frutty Frank), then i got a Commodore Amiga and in 1992 i finally got my Hands on one of thoose superfast 286s...with approximate 33 Mhz. The very first Games i buyed, where Space Quest 1-3 (in a combination Box), Wing Commander and X-Wing. So yeah, basically i can tell you a lot about Games at all...:D
Whatever. I have about 4700 different Games (all PC) and another 30 for my Playstation 1, which i just keep because of nostalgy Feelings. My most favourite Games of all Time are:
1. The Elder Scrolls - Morrowind
2. Rome - Total War
3. Half Life Series (1+2)
4. Call of Duty Series (all except COD 4)
5. Panzer General (Classic)
6. X-Wing Alliance
7. Unreal Tournament 2004
8. Hearts of Iron
9. The Sims 2
10. Mechwarrior 4
...there might be some others I forgot, but basically that is what i played most, the last copple of Yours. You ask why Freespace 2 isn´t in ? Cause i simply don´t like the Story and Missions. The Story is much to confusing and the Missions are easy, short and plain dumb (sorry to be honest)...whoever played Wing Commander or X-Wing/Tie-Fighter Missions, knows what i´m talking about...But Freespace has something, no other Game has...easy to handle Modding Tools and the biggest Potential of all Space Simulating Games...
Currently i´m mainly playing:
1. Red Orchestra online
2. Galactic Civillisations 2 DA offline
3. Panzer General
4. Liquid War (stupid Freeware Game)
...abandoned all my other Modprojects, so i cann 100% concentrate on FS2 now...:D

I was playing this a lot a few weeks ago. It's an excellent game and reminds me of Rollcage in some ways. The latest Nations games fortunately don't have the nasty DRM that previous Trackmania versions did.
I beat most of the white and green level tracks with gold and the blue ones with silver, but the red ones are very hard, especially since getting gold on them is mandatory. I gave up on them after a few days.
-
Rollcage FTW.

I've starting hunting for Aliens vs Predator 2, after i found my old but still functional Primal Hunt expansion.
