I mean I've seen Miley Cyrus before, never heard a song of hers though, but I have no idea who the other people are.

Am I just old or really lucky? Or both?

PS. Miley Cyrus has a fish face and is like 14, why do people think she is attractive?

I'm pretty sure I have no idea who the named people are. High School Musical I've never seen, but am told it's loliarous for several reasons, and am also told that like Grease, it's a pretty BS movie, but for some reason you can't help but like it.

At least lucky. I know them all by name, and Roflrazzi and other sources have convinced me that it's best not to know anything more about them.

I don't have an ipod. I'm poor, remember?

I haven't heard Jonas Brothers or seen High School Musical, but I do have one Miley Cyrus song in my computer... I heard it on the radio and I liked it so I downloaded it. *shrug*

Generally, Disney stars are no-talent airhead kids who are famous for a little while and then fade away to make room for the next one. But that doesn't mean they don't occasionally make musics that sound nice. :]

Here's my take on that image:

Jonas Brothers - $#!^
High School Musical - $#!^
Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus - $#!^
Music - :yes2::nod::yes:

And just to add on:

Metal - Mostly garbage, but some are excellent
Soundtrack - Excellent
Game - Excellent
Rock - Better than metal
Pop - Mostly garbage, but then there's Rick Astley...
Classical - Normal
Trance - Pretty good, but not excellent
Rap - I shall follow Jeremy Clarkson and do what he did to Lethal Bizzle at Top Gear of the Pops

NO!!! what are you doing? Quote the fixed one!!!! For all sakes and purposes towards rhyming all i did was change "joking" to "jokin' " so it would actually rhyme with broken. If he was actually rapping in front of us with this, he'd say "jokin' " and not "joking" anyway.

I like dilmahs rhyming in general. He doesn't do what a lot of rappers in the music business do today out laziness. The most evil rhyming a word with the same word!!! Is why i have stopped listening to rap for several years now is because rappers can't properly rhyme anymore.

Thanks, and yeah, I have a hate for people who rhyme the same word, unless it's like

"You try to front like a blood nigga, standin in yo' skinny leg's yo front like rudd nigga", in which the word before the same rhymed word rhymes, so it's really not rhyming nigga with nigga, but rudd with blood. BTW I just pulled that off the top of my head as an example, it isn't perfect.

I haven't listened to Ludacris, I'll start. I'm a big fan of late 80s-90s rap, NWA in particular. The 'Good ol' days, where rap wasnt just about a load of ****, and when it tried to be badass, it was, not a heap of words that rhymed by coincidence. Straight Outta Compton for example, does Gangsta Rap better than most mainstream stuff, the older beats take a few listens per song to get the hang of I've noticed, but overall I view them higher than some modern stuff.

I get the "pants in the relationship" bit. I don't get how that relates to Turambar not buying me stuff.

It probably has a lot more to do with him not being especially wealthy than my lack of femininity.

But...

I wish I had an iPod. Though my camcorder for some bizarre reason is also an MP3 player. -.-;

I have a ton of Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, thanks to my exboyfriend and a retarded amount of AFI and weird Finnish/German stuff from my exgirlfriend. Oh, and loads of piano music and showtunes from my gramma. Turambar gives me BSG and Naruto and other nerd things in video form, but those don't get stored in iTunes.

So I've never seen it.

What reason is there to watch something with TWO things that you hate, and it makes up the entire title of the movie?

I like musicals, but HSM (from what I saw of commercials) is NOT a musical. It's a 90 minute tween pop music video.

I don't like songs, or better, "music with words". I have been appreciating wordless tracks for many, many years. I started with epic Classical music and ended with game soundtracks, which are IMO the best music in circulation.

Most of the words in songs don't make sense and when they do their intent is drammatically obvious. I also dislike when musicians are compared to poets... :doubt:

I started listening to mike oldfield's stuff several weeks ago. I remembered that one ddr song carried away by a moonlight shadow. I ended up downloading the original long version. The original is really good, it's totally taken my eyes off of just wanting to download the remix. I'll check more into his stuff.

The meizu m6 is so much better than an ipod! 35 hour continuous play, a file browsing mode, the UI is very customizable, and the developers of the firmware actually integrate what hints and requests that the users have for future firmware. It also plays movies and so on. Very good product. What's really funny is when people mistake my m6 for an ipod nano. I'm like, do you see the big volume wheel on this thing? Among the m6 being a way superior product, it's also cheaper than similar competing ipods.

I also don't know why people are slaves to music managing software. There's nothing easier than plugging in your mp3 player and treating it like mobile storage and just drag your mp3's on there. I also categorize my music myself mainly by file name. I've found that software that only lets you search for your mp3's via id3 tags is very inaccurate. Most of the time id3 tags are inaccurate.

Yeah! Tubular Bells rocks, Vangelis is cool also. But about music without lyrics, some music with lyrics speak volumes that lyricless music cannot (by that I mean that you can bring your own interpretation to an instrumental, but a SONG has a better chance of conveying what the artist was trying tell to tell you! Granted, at times this is also open to interpretation, but I find trying to uncover that interpretation can be as illuminating as understanding a good Shakespeare play!

What I mean is in some songs, there are far layers than the mere music can portray!

I used a $30 MP3 player for years until I got a free Zune. I just use whatever does the minimum of what I need and costs the cheapest. Everyone else listens to ****ing hiphop, rap, and can't get their own ****ing heads around what an amplifier actually does in ****ing electronics class, so they just use last-year's amplifiers to play horrifically bad hip hop and techno-**** through the speakers, and then come up and say "I've got better techno then that" to me while I'm playing my own goddamn music.

I don't really listen to all that much. Back in highschool it was nothing but ace of base since i realized that was the only music i ever last listened which at the time last listened to music of choice when i was in 2nd grade. I had the ace of base discography, but got rid of it in favor for metal. Ace of base is very depressing music. Metal is good. Mostly nightwish and sonata arctica though.

I need to get some rob zombie again. He seemed to be a real classic in the scene of american metal.

LOL. That song was great! Totally cheered me up. Very kid friendly too. I found the milk drinking pretty funny as well as the mechanical rodeo pink horse (lol). I watched the whole thing. Quite great actually. I found the russian dancing out of place for a western though given the choreography they were doing. I liked the cute chicks in the video too ;)

Wow, i'll have to send this to my brother to show his friends at work.

Mike Oldfield's - Far above the clouds is one of my favorites of the newer productions.

I guess they actually timed the show for the Big Ben ending.

I also liked the original Tubular Bells, being over 25 minutes long. Quite a cross between symphony and more typical instruments. And to think that the guy played all the instruments all by himself! Moonlight Shadow is quite well composed song also. It is full of all kinds of nuances.

There is a difference between pieces that don't have lyrics and actual songs. Those that don't have any lyrics require more concentration, so that you only listen to them. Or at least I find it more pleasing that way.

I'll have to get more of his stuff. I've read that tubular bells was some of his greatest stuff. But, i wasn't looking for it then. I do like how his songs are longer than the standard 3:30.

Believe it or not, I searched high and low for Tubular bells for a ringtone, I ended up finding it categorised as the theme tune to Exorcist.  :doubt:

I know. I have seen it named as the theme of Exorcist also. But I don't think the movie had even nearly all the bits.

It can be found in three parts from Youtube, starting from this. Make sure you have 25 minutes to spare. I always find it interesting how he can get all the instruments added in so seamlessly and smoothly while keeping it interesting. I always liked the fast guitars and tubular bells parts of the song.

It is live performance, at least 20 years ago. I'm sure there are also a lot more of them in Youtube. What I still need to find is the 2003 version of the song.

You need to peer duo peer something.
