Some of the recent discussions have me wondering about what sort of formal education people have. So, if you're comfortable, post your highest level of education attained and (if applicable) your primary areas of study. Here's mine as an example:
B.Sc and B.A.
B.Sc Specialization in Molecular Genetics
-Microbial Genetics
-Human Genetics
-Developmental Genetics
-Behavioural Genetics
-Immunology
B.A. in Sociology/Psychology
-Sociological Theory (Marx, Foucault)
-Criminology
-Youth Crime
-Punishment
-Abnormal Psychology
Just curious what some of you other guys (and girls) have or are studying.

I will be taking an associate's degree in business or something when I get into college next year, and then once I transfer to a college with an actual computer science program I'll get my bachelor's degree in that.
-
Currently working on a B.Sc. in Computer Science.
-
me im a fully qualified circus teacher and youth worker and have started studying for a degree in engineering and start a structural fabrication and design(in metal) in september , the engineering degree will take for ages though as im doing it as i can afford it with the open university (UK) so maybe in 6 years or so lol but other than that i will be a qualified welder and machinist in one years time

BA in music with a minor in philosophy (in about four weeks.) Interests include musical ontology, music and temporality, aesthetics of the early Baroque, religious music of the 20th century, and interaction between music and other art forms. Composers of general interest include Satie, Ravel, Messiaen, La Monte Young, Arvo Pärt, Steve Reich, and George Crumb. Lately I've also felt a serious pull towards psychedelic folk.
Starting a PhD in musicology in the fall.
-
FSc Distinction in Computing and Multimedia, just finishing up an Honours BSc in Computer Science.
-
Halfway to a High School diploma right now :D. I'm a junior.

Oh so that makes you a professional juggler then doesn't it? ;)
In Scotty's boat atm, hopefully going for B.Sc. Aviation

Well, I was a porn dealer when I was your age, so as long as you don't fall into that trap, consider yourself doing better than I did :pimp:

:wtf: You from Detroit?
Grade 10 education with honors, hoping to go for Canadian officer training and flight school, a masters in mechanical engineering.

I act it on occasion :P To balance out the grades
Nice, I was considering doing something similar, except the RAAF. I've got a Book in .pdf form about pilot selection/training that I purchased for $30 which I can send you if you want. Mental math is a big one, you'll do MUCH better than someone whose done Calculus and got honours in Physics and Chem if you can ace the Pilot Apptitude test. I don't know about over there (they should be similar, they're systems are both based of the RAF to some extent, and Canadian flyers can join the RAAF through lateral recruiting or whatever it's called, so I'm sure they are), but the most complex stuff you find in the maths test they give you is some very basic calculus, however it's all about speed.
-
I'm a junior at the Baltar Institute for Girls, and I am also a student at Wake Tech (community college).
Woohoo!

If you could send me the book it'd be superb, the rest about the mental math/Chem/Phys is great as those are my strong points.

I'm a grade above ALL OF YOU! (senior and graduating in 5 weeks. I never thought I'd be counting the days, but I never realised how sick I am of this broken educational system).

Sucks to be you. :P

Still think that's the Colonial equivalent of St. Trinian's.
Associate's (basically a general ed transfer to a 4-year school) from Miramar Community College, transfer to SDSU, where I did a variety of crap and emerged from the system with a couple English-related degrees that are of no relevance to my actual job at NFCU. Probably going to end up going back to Miramar for some business/accounting classes soon.

Abitur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abitur), now studying mathematics for a master (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplom).
-
Pursuing a BS in mechanical engineering at Texas A&M. Roughly three semesters to go.
-
High School senior. Currently studying Biology, Applied Mathematics, and Psychology.
-
Bachelor of Psychology, currently doing a graduate Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery.

and we have...sports medicine...:wtf:
Health class isn't enough?
-
Almost finished BE(EE):Electronic (hopefully with (Hons) as well)

Its been a long time since I've been in that position, refresh my memory as to its level of sukiness.

I was pretty close to switching my major to textiles and clothing once. If you spend more than 10 minutes learning about how complex and diverse the field is, you'll see why its so interesting.

Last year of high school.
Currently taking no courses worth noting - I finished it all last semester so I could get guaranteed early admission into university.
-
Working on A.A in Modern Standard Arabic here. (http://www.dliflc.edu/)
Only need two more credits (natural science and technology).
-
Last Friday, I was presented my degree for BSc specializing in Geology.
Now all I have to do is find a job, in a market that's shrunk exponentially since this this time last year. Grrr.
-
I have a math BS and mostly specialized in complex analysis, PDEs and numerical methods. I'm now a second year PhD student in applied math, working in complex and harmonic analysis and various related problems in signal processing and robust control theory. And I have been a TA for a game theory class this semester for some reason. :p

My 11th grade/junior year will be over in just over 6 weeks.
4 of my 6 subjects are Advanced Placement, meaning an A in said class is a 5 on the GPA rather than a regular class' 4. AP classes are generally college-level (some what college-style teaching, college material, etc). AP Calculus, ironically, is the easiest of these classes for me, whereas AP US History is the hardest (I don't really give a **** about it).
I'm looking at a GPA of 4.2 (a C and a B, the rest being A's) and likely admission into UCLA, or a possible admission into Cal Tech.
The problem with AP classes is that the school day is 7 hours (getting to and from included makes it 8.5+ hours away from home at the minimum, with sports included that number becomes 12 hours on average) yet the classes are university-level. Needless to say, there is a lot of work with a relatively small amount of time to do it. The AP Exams make matters worse considering I have to take FOUR of them (AP exams have an hour-long multiple choice section and a 2-3 hour free-response section, which is usually three essays or a series of math/science problems depending on the subject).
-
High school junior... Nothing special here. 4.0 GPA, but really the hardest things about my classes is their
constructors terrible teachers. Math, Chem, Band, Philosophy, Advanced Compositions 2, AP Java.
Unfortunately, my 1 B is AP Java because I got a 9/20 points on an assignment because I let someone copy my program, and even though I had a 96% test average, things were weighted just so that I got an 89.4%. It's double unfortunate because it's Computer Science that I want to go into. :(

Last year of my Bachelors in Computer Science (hopefully).

Nope, DLI uses its own curriculum, which is mostly just elementary stuff for the first semester, then focusing on al-Jazeera, BBC Arabic, and al-Arabiya broadcasts in the 2nd and 3rd semesters.

Hot. We're using pretty much the worst (and apparently only real widespread) english -> arabic textbooks ever. Almost better off doing it yourself with Rosetta Stone, a dictionary and some diligence.

Some other resources I found useful are GLOSS (http://gloss.lingnet.org) and WordChamp (http://www.wordchamp.com/lingua2/Home.do). If you have Before You Know It or RapidRote, they help remarkably.

I'm in year 4 of 5 of a BE (Computer Engineering) / BSc (Mathematics).
-
Doing 1st year BE and doing it at 50% of my capacity. I need to re-program and restart - again, about the 3rd time in 2/3 years. I won't totally wipe all of the previous lifestyle; ever.

High school grad, School for Textile, Leather & Design Zagreb, Textile - Chemical techinician. Worst case of a wasted life ever. And now i waste time of my life in B Net's call support... (Croatian cable TV, VoIP, and cable net)
oh how i wish i had assloads of cash so i could go study 3D....
-
Studying a double BSc in Geology and Environmental Biology with a specialization in exploration geology and regolith. Should have finished a couple of years ago, but I got drunk a lot instead of finishing assignments . Going to be doing a Grad Cert in GIS next year (fully online courses FTW) and a Grad Dip. in Exploration Geophysics probably the year after that.
-
Currently going for a BS in Chemical Engineering; almost done with my first year of college.
-
Currently wrapping up my second year of college, aiming for a BS in Computer Science.
Also considering a minor in Technical Communications.
-
I do hold an Associate's Degree in CS(completly worthless), and also the following
The School of Hard Knocks
Dr. Snooty's College of Gross Observational Pattern Analysis
and the Institute of High Moral Discourse and Disillusionment
-
(I felt like my first post didn't cover enough.)
Currently have a 4.0, with three AP courses, equates rougly to a 4.5. I'm not completely sure what I want to do after, but I've narrowed it to something to do with computers or gunsmithing. About 5-6 weeks until end of junior year.
-
How hard are the AP courses? I'm taking AP Chem 12, AP Phys 12, AP Bio 12 and AP Calc. How much harder would AP Chem be than say, Chem 11?
-
Technically, at my school, Chem II is an AP class. Pre-Calculus is considered College Algebra, and we get college credit for it. My semester of AP english was the equivalent to Composition 101 in college, and my 20th Century Literature semester was considered AP.

AA in something useless
BA in Emergency and Disaster Management
Thinking about starting my MA in Management
