Associate's (basically a general ed transfer to a 4-year school) from Miramar Community College, transfer to SDSU, where I did a variety of crap and emerged from the system with a couple English-related degrees that are of no relevance to my actual job at NFCU. Probably going to end up going back to Miramar for some business/accounting classes soon.

I was pretty close to switching my major to textiles and clothing once. If you spend more than 10 minutes learning about how complex and diverse the field is, you'll see why its so interesting.

Last Friday, I was presented my degree for BSc specializing in Geology.

Now all I have to do is find a job, in a market that's shrunk exponentially since this this time last year. Grrr.

I have a math BS and mostly specialized in complex analysis, PDEs and numerical methods. I'm now a second year PhD student in applied math, working in complex and harmonic analysis and various related problems in signal processing and robust control theory. And I have been a TA for a game theory class this semester for some reason.

My 11th grade/junior year will be over in just over 6 weeks.

4 of my 6 subjects are Advanced Placement, meaning an A in said class is a 5 on the GPA rather than a regular class' 4.  AP classes are generally college-level (some what college-style teaching, college material, etc).  AP Calculus, ironically, is the easiest of these classes for me, whereas AP US History is the hardest (I don't really give a **** about it).

I'm looking at a GPA of 4.2 (a C and a B, the rest being A's) and likely admission into UCLA, or a possible admission into Cal Tech.


The problem with AP classes is that the school day is 7 hours (getting to and from included makes it 8.5+ hours away from home at the minimum, with sports included that number becomes 12 hours on average) yet the classes are university-level.  Needless to say, there is a lot of work with a relatively small amount of time to do it.  The AP Exams make matters worse considering I have to take FOUR of them (AP exams have an hour-long multiple choice section and a 2-3 hour free-response section, which is usually three essays or a series of math/science problems depending on the subject).

High school junior... Nothing special here. 4.0 GPA, but really the hardest things about my classes is their constructors terrible teachers. Math, Chem, Band, Philosophy, Advanced Compositions 2, AP Java.

Unfortunately, my 1 B is AP Java because I got a 9/20 points on an assignment because I let someone copy my program, and even though I had a 96% test average, things were weighted just so that I got an 89.4%. It's double unfortunate because it's Computer Science that I want to go into.
