Title: Corporate love love day.
Post by: Colonol Dekker on February 13, 2010, 05:44:39 am
Well it's that time of year again tomorrow. I got two cards at work but as i'm not a teenager i'm not bothered. It's nice don't get me wrong but if they're too shy to approach me in the first place then i'm not interested.

Girl said to me yesterday:
"You know, it's valentines day in Sunday... "
and I replied:
"Yup, and on Monday it's national flag of Canada day"  :P

I got one from my Grandma, who apparently still thinks I'm four.

Not expecting any others. :blah:

Reasons behind the day are sound.

Modern Corporate, "buy stuff to prove you love them" I really hate!

But the sex is always good that night  ;7

Depends. I am pathologically no longer able to sleep without something to cuddle, so if for some reason she's ever away, Stitch is on standby. :P

My wife and I just got back from our much-delayed honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, so I got a pass on the Valentine's Day card nonsense this year... finally.   I thought I had bought myself some relief with an expensive dozen roses the first year we were dating, but no, turns out I just set the bar higher for myself from the get-go

The solution; start dating on 15 Feb and get married by 13 Feb. That way, the only thing you have to one-up yourself on is a bit of fun.

Our Winter Royalty dance was today.  I managed to work up the courage to ask the person I was hoping to to dance.  She said no.

 :sigh:

... is kinda boring, at least for me here in Taiwan.
Then again, who am I to complain after receiving so much money from relatives.

Some cities in China can be a blast with the amount of fireworks displays though...

'Aye, it's money well spent if she likes it. :)

Though the most expensive thing I recall buying a girlfriend was a triple cheeseburger from McDonalds.  :D

Not counting dinner or a round of drinks in a london club. A box of ferrero roche, a teddy bear and a card.
Less than eight quid  and it worked wonders. That was back in 07.

Nothing this year, same as the last seventeen.

Tho, I will probably remember back to my sophomore year in high school where my first year business computing class bought an SGA Valentine song to be sung to me in front of the entire student body, yea I was the only guy and 2 years younger than the rest of them.  I think they thought of me as a pet, like a dog or something.

Video footage would be appreciated. Pictures would be acceptable.

The girls in my year and the year above always treat the younger geeky looking guys in a similar fashion. :P Lulz ensues.
