I dunno.... I'm I think 15 of the 19 tutorial parts and I'm already starting to get bored with it. :blah:
there will be cakeThe cake is a lie!
Once you finish, check out some of the community maps. There are a lot of good ones out there. Some of the larger collections include the Portal: Flash Version Mappack and Portal Prelude. The latter is extremely difficult, though, so I recommend trying some other maps first in order to get up to speed.
Is it worth it (or even possible) to create Steam account only to download Portal?
It's available for Mac too ... and just as finals are rolling in... :blah:

I thought it was a bit of a late bloomer myself, but it ultimately paid off pretty well. Stick with it.
good stuff. but i'm stuck at what i assume to be the very end, with the fan.
I don't care about the Orange Box since I'm not interested in TF2
Nope, I stay away from online FPS as much as possible, in fact about the only online games i play are those simple facebook games.
I enjoyed MMO's for a while, but the whole thing got internally politicised, and an evening online became sort of like a second day at work, which wasn't really what I wanted from my relaxation time.
i've got to ask what they sold this for originally. it's a well-designed concept and game, but it's so short it really seems more like a demo.
Speaking of, we really need to try organizing another HLP TF2 gameday. We have that Steam group going, so we might as well use it. The reason I haven't broken into TF2 is because I don't know what I'm doing with it (I really wish Valve had included some sort of singleplayer training/tutorial mode), but I'd love to change that.

It was part of The Orange Box, which was sold for the price of a single game but included Half-Life 2, both of its episodes, Team Fortress 2, and Portal.
Probably the greatest deal of all time.
