Title: Scientology Ads
Post by: achtung on March 14, 2011, 05:57:58 pm
Every single time I drop into GD I see a Scientology ad. Are they targeting me? Should I fear Sea Org?

You'd think with all the flashy hollywood stars they would have flashier advertisements.

Oh dear.

edit to explain:  HLP's hosting is not free.  If you block all the ads, then the site makes zero revenue while you add to the traffic.

I'm not saying that you're legally required to allow ads, but it's a real dick move if you don't.

I got 50/50: a mixed adwords ad for Scientology and shampoo.

I hereby summon ads for Adobe Photoshop, Pagemaker, and Creative Suite. Any others you'd like to conjure?

Wow, I'm amazed at the level of religious intolerance here. You're all religious bigots! Why do you hide behind this big facade of suppression? Scientology works, and it helps people. By attacking it, you are nothing short of a criminal. YOU ARE ALL CRIMINALS! Luckily, I'm armed with the knowledge gained by the PTS/SP course, so your antics do not phaze me in the least. Rather, they tell me more about you! I know that you are just small, insecure terrorists who don't want people getting better -- No no no, we can't have that! The problem isn't that you're a damn squirrel stuck on the time-track or that you're not applying proper Scientology tech to your life, SCIENTOLOGY is the problem, right? The SP will divert attention from their own misdeeds, inadequacies, and lack of direction, blaming only others. Scientology suffers in this regard in the sense that when wogs see Scientology's shining beacon of knowingness, they'll either see the good and join us, or, as the majority of these poor thetans do, fight us.

See how the mask of suppression withers as light is shone on your own overts and withholds shine through? KSW, step 4, baby! That's what it's all about.
I don't hate you people, for a simple reason -- http://www.suppressiveperson.org/sp/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/lecture-suppressives-and-gaes.pdf

In short -- You are stuck in an incident, and all I can do at this point is hope that you get out of this freewheeling that GAE's and Suppressives often find themselves in. http://www.thewaytohappiness.org/ -- Try this for just a week and I promise you that you'll never go back to your mask of iniquity and hate.

I always always click the Scientology ads. They pay for every click

Right on my man. Good for both Hard Light and Scientology; everyone wins!

I have trouble equating Scientology with Religion in the first place to be honest, it's more like viral marketting.

Mhhh... if you ve read Douglas Adams Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy, then that answer doesn t make much sense.

If you haven t read it.... well.. then you are a heretic and need to be burned on a stake. :)

Check Wikiquote... it's not just like he said it once... it's more like that he kept rambling on and on about it.... and well then, i guess he just did it. (lol)

I'm sorry, this statement fails to parse. There are certainly other contributory causes, but religious martyrdom is an old and respected tradition for anyone who believes in a singular God.

Well, religion has been around for centuries. For some people to swear by it is not unusual, even in this day and age.

And martyrdom isn't the same thing as suicide bombing.

Wrong thread for this kind of argument anyway.

Now if I were some kind of all powerful being, you would just have bought yourself a handsome washing machine operator that all your courtesans would start to fight over :)
