This thing, I listen to today: Elektronik Supersonik (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=lp_PIjc2ga4#t=10s)
The greatest villain in Molvanian film history
i was listening to the new darktrhone album.
it was horrible. i think bm is finally dead.
I recently discovered Coheed and Cambria. I utterly love concept albums when I find them, and to find a band that has dedicated their entire discography to telling a story is brilliant.
Animals as Leaders live in Toronto (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR52uZO9bFg). Sound could be better in the recording, but still a tight gig.
my music library is now 7 albums deeper. don't know where i should start.

Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Van Halen II, obviously :D
i've come to understand that nirvana isn't as bad as i hate them for, i just hate them for how INSANELY overrated they (and in particular kurt cobain) are/were. #4 on my personal list of most overrated bands in history. they had a catchy tune or two. musically, they are as average as rock gets. and yet they are consistently considered one of the best rock bands of all time. kurt cobain was put at #7 or something on rolling stone's 100 greatest guitarists list. eddie van halen was #70. (ok, i just googled that to fact check and got a drastically different list. apparently they've made a new one). i mean, their damn DRUMMER of all people was the most musically talented person in the band. i also think that kurt had a really bad singing voice, but that's a bit beside the talent point.I like Nirvana, although "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is definitely overrated.
edit: also just discovered cobain is ranked #45 in greatest singers. wut.
e2: and smells like teen spirit is apparently the #9 song.
currently:Ah, classic '90s.

Archive - Bullets (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6nbFZtxAL4) (AKA that song from the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer)Glad to see I'm not the only one around here who's heard of Archive. Truly an amazing group with very diverse influences. And that's the very track that got me hooked.
A pop song about Nuke (although that may be disputed):

URL because I ****ing hate forum threads where every post is an embedded youtube. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbUNi8cSDOw)
All these embeds really make it tedious to load the page. It's a nice feature, but hard for people with low bandwidth (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYR7CX9hYjI&list=PLlvXGetzr0FBSC6xKTJY8H9UX8-YIgNVh)
Fine. Fine! FINE!^
Soundgarden - Spoonman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0_zzCLLRvE)I saw Chris Cornell live a few years back, he's still a pretty good singer.
He was awful during Audioslave (probably trashed his throat or something), but he's doing well again. Got some surgery done, I guess.Soundgarden - Spoonman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0_zzCLLRvE)I saw Chris Cornell live a few years back, he's still a pretty good singer.
