Less than a week later, the Globe reported that childhood friends of Edwards had evidence to refute the charges, and they raised instances in which they said Edwards had made other false claims, including an assertion that he had played a role in the 1975 hit movie ''Jaws.''

This Edwards guy's a nutcase, and they're still going after the priests on his word. Are people stupid, or is it just me?

The problem here being everyone thinks (most people here that is) that since they're intelligent everyone else should be the same... unfortunately you're all "special"

While there is definately an imbalance in the current justice system, allowing the lives of innocent men to be ruined, such a serious accusation cannot be dismissed out of hand simply because the boy has a history of lying.

The guy claimed something happened in a situation that didn't exist. Not to mention that because of the way he dumped his lawsuit, he is technically unable to bring it back to court.
