Actually, I recall this being posted somewhere else.  W was handed the book for the photo and when he actually looked down at it, he realized it was upside down.  So basically this is just another attempt by people who dislike him to try and make him look like an idiot.

That's because most people in this country don't know anything about his time as governor of Texas. If they did, they wouldn't need pics like this one, they could just use THE OFFICIAL RECORD.

I don't think anyone's using this picture to push a political agenda, Shrike. Bush pictures and quotes are the politically relevant, true-story equivalent of blonde and Polack jokes.

While it may be somewhat debatable that Bush is infact retarded, it is a certainty that he usually has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. Most of the time it's obvious that he's just reciting something that someone else has told him that he's misunderstood and so screws it up.

Actually, www.whitehouse.gov is the real site. Notice the ".gov". The other two (.com and .org) are not real.
