I have pulled Freespace 2 off my dusty shelf recently and come to enjoy it once more. I checked and to my surprise found quite an active mod community. Having zero talent in modding I decided to try my hand at adding a little something for everyone's enjoyment. I had recently converted some niffty fighter models from Starfleet Command 2 orion Pirates in to Starfleet Command 3.
Wondering if I could convert these low poly wonders I set out to try it. With much dificulty I have met success thus I present you with a Klingon Figther! it works fully in game (except for docking pioints, see below) and I had quite a bit of fun flying around in it and menacing the Shivans

Other Stuff
1) There are no docking points. I have no clue how to add them. PCS seems to not like this modle though Modview likes it jsut fine..why, I dont know....I have been modding freespace all of a day

So far I havent found many good tutorials
2) There are no engine glows or afterburner trails. SImply put I dont know how to make them...again I need a tutorial but found no good ones dealing with Truespace 2.
3) I would like some good tutroials revolving around the tools I have

Namely 3dstudio max 5 and Truespace 2 (and lithunwrap)
4) There is no number 4
feedback is welcome, I will be working on converting a few more ships from starfleet command, namely the romulan, federtion, gorn, and pirate fighters. I may also attempt to get a B'rel bird of prey accross as well if it is low poly enough...
Ok, time to go to bed before my wife foinds out what i stayed up all night doing...
